Hasami ware is ceramics fired in Hasami Town, Higashisonogi District, Nagasaki Prefecture. It has a history of 400 years.
At first, they produced celadon porcelain, but eventually they started making a large amount of tableware for the general public starting in the Edo period, such as dull dyed porcelain on a white background with simple floral patterns drawn on it. Nowadays, they produce a variety of hand-painted and printed ceramics, both porcelain and ceramics.
